HockeyEast

Already in UVM Uniform-F, Chris McCarthy

Colin Markison-F- A '92 birthyear who played for the Omaha Lancers past two seasons.  Closer to the short side but he is very thick, very fast and can rip.  Uses his body well.  Could provide a good spark for the Catamounts the next 4 years.
In Omaha: 112GP, 13g, 21a, +16

Nick Luukko-D- A '91 birthyear that played at Gunnery Prep for two seasons.  Won USHL Clark Cup with Dubuque. Missed some time due to a broken wrist versus Des Moines.  Flyers 2010 6th round draft pick.  Stands at 6'3 185lbs.  A very calm, crisp defenseman who is steady all over the ice and could help UVM in the long run.
In Dubuque: 45GP, 7g, 10a, +1

Kyle Mountain-F- A late recruit.  21 entering freshman year at UVM.  Played at Milton Academy, then went to Pentincton in the BCHL.  Was invited to the 2011 Flyers summer development camp.
In Pentincton: 60GP, 13g, 14a, E

Michael Paliotta-D- The CT Native is a 6'3, 200lbs stay at home defenseman.  Played for NTDP the past two seasons in the USHL.  Played at Choate Prep prior to joining Team USA.  Very good in the D-Zone.
In Ann Arbor: 56GP, 1g, 11a, -23

2012 Recruits- Ian Spencer, Indiana Ice Defenseman
2013 Recruits- x

Already in UNH Uniform: G, Matt DiGirolamo-F,Matt Campanale-D, Eric Knodel

Matt Willows-F-An offensive powerhouse in the EJHL, and winner of the Top Forward award, Willows will provide another offensive threat in this already stacked lineup.  The 5'9 forward played for the Colonials growing up.  He is fast , good in the offensive zone and will get in opponents' faces.
With Hitmen: 40GP, 27g, 43a, 70p

Trevor VanRiemsdyk-D- The defenseman with similar build to that of Luukko will provide more of an offensive impact then most think.  The brother of Flyers forward, James, won the EJHL Top Defenseman award in 10-11 with the Monarchs.
With Monarchs: 39GP, 16g, 22a, 38p

2012 Recruits-F, Jamie Hill, Waterloo(USHL)-F, Kyle Smith, Boston Junior Bruins(EJHL)
2013 Recruits-D, Brett Pesce, NJ Avalanche(AYHL)

Already In BC Uniform: None
Danny Linell-F- The Long Island Native, who was initially a Harvard recruit, will be an impact player for BC.  He was invited to the NY Islanders rookie development camp.  Played at Choate Rosemary Hall for 3 years.  A smaller forward, Linell can fly and use his speed in any situation to become dangerous.
At Choate(3 seasons): 71GP, 51g, 40a, 91p

KJ Tiefenwerth-F- There have been rumblings that Tiefenwerth will not be in a BC uniform, but rather a Sacred Heart(?) uniform.  But nothing is sure and they are merely rumors.  Also invited to NY Islanders camp with Linell this summer.  Played for the Junior Bruins in the EJHL and won Rookie of the Year.  A very shifty forward who is slippery everywhere on the ice and  is an excellent passer.  Would be a good fit for BC, but watch to see what happens.
With Junior Bruins: 44GP, 26g, 31a, 57p

Quinn Smith-F- Before moving out to Youngstown in the USHL, Smith most notably played for the 2010 New England Champion Avon team with Tiefenwerth.  Small and quick, it will be interesting to see how Smith adjusts to the college game.  He is a proven winner at every level so BC is definitely a good fit.
In Youngstown: 52GP, 9g, 8a, -10

John Gaudreau-F- A 5'6 forward, Gaudreau is probably the most slippery player to play against.  His offensive dominance separate him from all the others and it makes up for his size.  He played for Comcast growing up before going to Dubuque, where he won Rookie of the Year and the Clark Cup.  BC caught a bit of luck picking him up after de-committing from Northeastern.
In Dubuque: 60GP, 36g, 36a, +21

2012 Recruits- F, Peter McMullen, Delbarton(NJHS)
2013 Recruits- x

Already in BU Uniform: None

Alexx Privitera-D- Played for NJ Avalanche growing up before heading to NTDP for a year and then eventually moving to Muskegon in the USHL this year.  The 5'10 DMan will provide speed, a good first pass, and offensive ability to a front running BU team in 11-12.
In Muskegon: 57GP, 10g, 24a, -10

2012 Recruits- F, Jarrid Privitera, Gunnery Prep (Brothers)
2013 Recruits- x

Already in UME Uniform: F, John Swavely-F, Adam Shemansky

John Parker-F- Once a UMass recruit at 15 years old, Parker recently decommited and chose Maine.  Has always been a huge name to those around the Atlantic area with the '92 birthyear, Parker came from Detroit to play for the Avalanche where he won a National Title. From there he played with the Rockets and eventually moved on to the USHL where he played in Indiana for 2 years and Muskegon this past year.  Should develop into a mature role player for the Black Bears.
In USHL (3 Seasons):147GP, 14g, 41a, 55p, -6

2012 Recruits-G, Matt Morris, Dubuque(USHL)-F, Connor Leen, Hitmen(EJHL)
2013 Recruits-F, Ryan Badger, Comcast(AYHL)

Already in UMA Uniform:F, Rocco Carzo

Andrew Tegeler-F- Played for Comcast growing up until he moved to the Boston Junior Bruins this past season.  Got off to a slow start, but a very strong second half gave him a commitment.  A big forward who has good hands and vision will help the Minutemen in a few years.
At Junior Bruins: 44GP, 19g, 21a, 40p

Kevin Boyle-G- Committed early 2009 to the Minutemen from Bob Thornton's NJ Rockets program.  Then went out to the BCHL to play for the Westside Warriors where he played well splitting some time.  A big goalie at 6'0, 195lbs, Boyle will fight for time and eventually be the starter at UMass
In Westside: 39GP, 20-16-1, 3.02GAA, .902Sv%

No Future Commitments

Already in UML Uniform-D- Rob Badger

Brian Robbins-G- Played for the Rockets growing up but moved to the CD Selects in the EJHL for the past few seasons.  After UML brought in a new head coach and let go of a goalie, Robbins was recruited.  Standing at 5'11, Robbins saw plenty of rubber for a cellar-dweller team.  It will be interesting to see if Robbins plays much since the two goalies last year combined for 5 wins.
At CD Selects: 44GP, 6-36-1, 5.52GAA, .892Sv%, 46.4 shots/gm

Terrence Wallin-F- Wallin played for the Chiefs growing up with Markison, who is at UVM, but went to Gunnery for 3 years.  A mid-sized forward at 6'0-185lbs, his vision, speed and game intelligence are his positives.  He missed more than half of his Sr season with knee surgery, but came back with very strong finish.  He comes into a program that scored just 83 goals last season so it is vital that he and his class produce immediately.
At Gunnery(3 seasons): 74gp, 37g, 70a, 107p

No Future Recruits from Atlantic Area

Already in PC Uniform:F, Rem Vanderbeek

Alex Velischek-D- A Penguins draft pick, Velischek played at Delbarton before heading to Providence.  Some trouble inside the locker room and with coaches pushed him away to play in the USHL for a year in Sioux City.  With a coaching change, Nate Leaman from Union, Velischek is back in Rhode Island in '11 as a Jr.  A mid-sized Hockey East defenseman, he is a very good puck mover and skater and will help the Friars.
In Sioux City: 33GP, 2g, 8a, 10p

Stefan Demopoulos-F- Played at Avon and then went out to Omaha for a year in the USHL.  The speedy forward had a very productive year for the Lancers and will look to bring that productivity to a lackluster offense in PC last year.
In Omaha(2 seasons): 104GP, 25g, 31a, +12

Craig Wyszomirski-D- A huge DMan from the northern NJ area.  Played for the Avalanche and Devils growing up.  Played for the Hitmen where he matured as a player and then moved onto Gunnery where he got his scholarship.  Almost left Gunnery after year one to go back to the Hitmen but decided against it.  If he works hard enough he could be a top Hockey East DMan soon.  An offensive threat at times with a heavy shot.  At 6'4 he will be a good body presence for PC the next four years.
At Gunnery(2 seasons):62GP, 13g, 37a, 50p

No Future Recruits from Atlantic Area
